About Zhao Li Ying
Liying Zhao is a visual artist born in 1978. She lived in Mainland of China, Hong Kong and Paris before settled down in London with her family. She started to learn drawing from 1987. She graduated from printmaking department, China Academy of Art (BA, 1998-2002 and MA, 2006-2009). She is also educated in Summer Institute(Berlin University of Arts and China Academy of Art, summer 2001) and Willem de Kooning Academy, Hogeschool, Rotterdam, Netherland (spring 2007). She was a full time and part time art teacher in college during 2002 to 2014. Now she is a full-time artist.

I am a visual artist with simplicity of spirit. My works are a testimony of my own experience of thought and life. They are one part of who I am.
