About Haruka Ostley
Haruka Ashida Ostley was born in Nara, splitting time growing up in Japan and Latin America. She graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design with a B.F.A in painting. She then moved to NYC, where she trained at Stella Adler Studio of Acting. People’s stories inspire Haruka to create. The expression of her work varies from painting, dance movement, theater on stage, to films on the screen. For the past few years, she has been working as an Artist-in-Residence at Yew Chung Education Foundation. She also works as a freelance performer/artist living in Hong Kong with her husband and son. She thrills to work with people with different backgrounds, crossing over different mediums around the world.
