Artist Statement
My drawings are usually related to the places I travelled to, lived in, to personal experiences, or dreams and places I would dream to go to. It’s a way for me to question my environment, and raise what is different, and why I like it or not. It’s a very special experience to live so far away from home for such a long time, so I think it’s definitely driving my art motivation.
I use mainly black and white ink or paint and then play around adding colors. I like the deepness of the black and the vibrancy it creates on the paper with the white and the other colors. It’s also the black of the Chinese ink, and Asian art will always be a source of inspiration.
